Newman’s Nursery is seeking a passionate, hands-on team member to assist in the daily operations of our vibrant garden centre.

This is a full-time role (30-38 hours per week) Attractive renumeration based on level of qualifications and experience.

Role:

This full-time position involves working closely with our management team to uphold our company vision and ensure our continued commitment to customer service and horticultural excellence is reached.  Lead by example with customer engagement, sales, advice and customer service.  Demonstrate leadership and guidance for our small team ensuring smooth operations.  Develop and maintain seasonal displays, merchandising to a high standard.  Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment.  Process incoming stock, data entry, invoicing.

Must-Haves:

  • Certificate III in Horticulture.
  • Positive, professional attitude to customer service.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in horticulture, Retail management or similar.
  • Proficient in using IT systems, POS, online ordering platforms.
  • Confident with plant knowledge, including plant identification, care and advice.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritise daily operations.
  • Availability across 7 day a week roster including one weekend shift a week.
  • A genuine love for plants and people and the horticulture industry.
  • Own Transport.
  • Forklift of small terrain vehicle knowledge.
