Pear – Packhams Triumph

Pyrus communis. Fruiting pear. Packhams Triumph is used for fresh fruit, juice, drying, preserving and cooking. A very popular Australian pear that has good keeping qualities. The large fruit has an excellent flavour. Mid-season maturity. Pollination ‘Nijisseiki’, ‘Josephine’. Skin Pale lemon-yellow when fully mature. Flesh White. Firm, very juicy and smooth textured. Good quality. Excellent storage qualities. Refrigeration necessary for about 14 to 21 days for fruit to ripen satisfactorily. Flavour Rich, very good.
